Coastal Design Assembly 2026 is an event bringing together a set of recent projects that engage directly with coasts, harbours, headlands, pools, reefs and waterfronts. Presented by Sophie Lanigan Projects, the Assembly offers a public forum for designers, artists and coastal practitioners to share work at the edge between city and sea.
Format
The Assembly is structured as an evening of concise but substantial presentations, each focused on a single project rather than a broad office overview. This format is intended to create a clear and engaging public program for a mixed audience of designers, students, coastal practitioners and interested coastal citizens. At the end of the evening, each speaker will be invited to respond to the same closing prompt: What is one coastal intervention, design or idea you’d like to exist, and what would have to change to make it possible?
